MDAG gets funding to educate and support the community
The Moorabool Drug Action Group were successful in obtaining the State Government funded Community ICE Action Grant to facilitate a community and business ICE Education project. The community awareness project aims to engage with up to 500 community members directly through a series of training sessions that will be offered to local businesses and employers, service providers and volunteer groups, plus the wider community. The rationale for this project is based on the success of bringing community members, local service providers and businesses together to develop a whole community approach to preventing and reducing ICE related harms in our community. This is a fantastic outcome for our community and provides the Moorabool Drug Action Group with a platform to develop stronger collaborative relationships with local businesses and service providers to ensure ongoing community capacity building beyond the life of the project itself.
